Not long ago she called my cell phone, telling me she might end it all as she tired of living in misery. My Mom is not chubby but if you see her you'll know she's not been feeding well. She told me sometime she eats once in a day.

I feel her pain but there's nothing I can do being broke. Last time I sent money to her things fell apart for me... I ran into a serious problems at work. This has been happening for long but I started paying attention to it few months ago. More like someone did something with African science that gets me punished each time I tried to send money or provisions.

I can't stop her from quiting life neither can I help her stay alive. We're like two opposite force and I hate it.

I really want to help her but I am powerless.

We the children are young and can't find employment... Also too broke to fund a business. This is not an excuse But a fact.

Firstly, you want to commit suicide in your other thread, now your mother. I am not against death and i do believe for some people,death is a resting place for them, but I think depression runs genetically in your family, if everything you have typed is the truth though, and when you know this, then it should give you strength to solve your problem because its not just about your sutuation but genetics


Secondly,i will be bold with you, your mum has always been poor, yet she has children, very typical of Africans. When you are poor,pla forget about children or have just 1 or 2. But No, Africans will still be breeding plenty children in abject poverty. Note, this is not to insult your mum but to advise those reading this thread, to either do vasectomy or use condom when you know you are poor till you become better

Thirdly, i dont know how a single person can be poor, except you are purchasing what is beyond you. With your English, you went to school so you are at least average in thinking, you should be able to do something that will make you comfortable. So you have no reason to be having problem with accomodation and food,makes me think you are just a scamer
1. Houses in Osun,Ibadan are still below 100k in a year.
2. Natural Foods in Ibadan is cheap, Buy Potatoes,Plantain, Beans
3. How will you get money for this? You are a Man for goodness sake, I hate lazy folks. Go and wash cars, sweep, bricklaying,etc for 3months, save the money, start Okirika business, continue doing your labour job, save and buy used laptop, learn a skill,continue your labour job, learn tailoring, tailoringg still sell, learn phone repair, etc.
If you are focused,aafter 1year, you should have a sustained income that would at least givee you something everymonth. Keep doing that.

Also for your mum, your mum should not be hungry when she has adults as children, she can also do babysitting of children. And all of you should stop going to churches because im sure your mum still go to church and give pastors money, she should use that time to babysit children,and do other soft jobs that will at least fetch her food.
And you children should be a Man and send her something

All you all have to do is to stop buying gadgets,cloths,and other fancy unnecesary things

Skills you can learn
1. Hair making
(dreads): Theres alot of money in hair making
2. Graphic designing
3. Okirika busines: lots of money in this as well but if you dont have sense you will loose. Read financial books
4. Stop wasting money on data and be watching useless things on social media as well as Tiktok and women. Be disciplined

Like I said in my previous reply, I received massive blessing after my "rant" on the thread I created between January - February 2022. The 15k was shared with my little brother so we won't starve. It's not like my rent was 15k and I haven't seen bigger money before.

I was in a very poor situation and I did went out to learn skills, I have learnt many skills,including hair and tailoring without the help of anyone. Many atimes I do wish I was a male, just because of so many oppourttunities that I would have had, for instance, the first time I wanted to go to lagos to hustle and no where to sleep,if i were a male,i wouldnt mind where to sleep.
