Cristiano Ronaldo Would Solve Chelsea's Striker Issues, Says Paul Merson by Faithgoke01(m): 8:24pm On Aug 16, 2022
Paul Charles Merson, an English former professional footballer, manager and sports television pundit for Sky Sports has revealed in his latest sky sport column that Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro would be the final piece in the jigsaw for Chelsea.

The former Arsenal star affirms that CR7 has he is popularly called is the antidote to toothless Chelsea. He has been reportedly said to have made the below assertion.

Albeit, the Blues were outstanding against Tottenham on Sunday, they dominated the match from start to finish, but they haven't got a goalscorer or centre-forward and that cost them to have shared the three points with Spurs.

And despite their domination, Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris made just one save. That tells you all you need to know.

I cannot believe they didn't or haven't gone in for Cristiano Ronaldo. He just ticks all of the boxes Chelsea are lacking.

Playing for Chelsea is not like playing for Manchester United, who are working from the halfway line. Chelsea are on the edge of the box, dominating games.

Chelsea have unbelievable wing-backs, they dominate football matches, if they were putting the ball into the box for Ronaldo I would dread to think how many goals he could score.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has just been reportedly linked to Atletico Madrid who are looking to offer the 37-year-old Portugal star an exit from Manchester United, according to journalist Guillem Balague.

In another vein, Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, says The Sun, while they could also target Leicester City's Jamie Vardy.

Punitively, a move of Ronaldo to Atletico Madrid might necessitate the arrival of Aubameyang in Manchester United or Chelsea where he'll be facing his former club, Arsenal (where he scored 92 goals in 163 matches) and Vardy, the 2016-2017 league title winner for Leicester might move to the United where he is reported to have been noted as a choice.

There's still more to the arrival and departure of talents in club with the transfer window still open till the 1st day of September, 2022.
