A Short Read:

What makes you think the ones you are building now your children will live there?

How are you sure they will live in Nigeria. Ten years now, the house will be out of fashion.

Stop killing yourself.

This wife of yours that is pushing you for greener pasture, might not mourn you for a year before she start with your friend just to keep her little Secret before the time is ripe.

Your husband might not even mourn you for 6 months, before your friend will move in.

Stop treating God's treasures (Humans) like trash.

Those children of yours you want to train in Harvard, may just like to be a DJ or a musician that SSCE dropouts are also doing successfully.

The day you die, your account officer will reduce your money to ten percent. You are not alive because of what you have, you're alive to serve God and humanity.

Your house may be old, but the school bag or books you bought for another man's child will continue to grow.

This is not a call to mediocre.

Vanity is hidden in time.

Humanity Should Always Be The Priority.!!!

That does not mean we should not keep an inheritance for our children.

Whether vanity or not.

Na fools dey think this way.

Person wey no get money, dey always think towards vanity.

Money is good but we should not always forget that doing good is key to humanity.

I know of one old Yoruba woman who died in Lagos some years back, she told the children to give part of the flats to her driver and whatever car the guy might be driving her upon her death.
Till this day,the same guy (driver)was given everything that the old woman asked to be gifted to him. And again, the family went further to take care of the school fees of the drivers children till date because they are wealthy.

In summary,I agree in the word vanity, but not in the context above-na poor minds rush to call am vanity. If your wealth is pure, not yahoo, not stolen or amassed fraudulently and it is used responsibly, forget vanity. It only becomes vanity if it was spent like the way Abiola,Eze ego and Abacha squandered their ill gotten wealth.

It is good to regulate what you do for money and this thinking is not a foolish one. If you are legit, hustle hard, else don't hustle at all. It is better like that.
