Should true Christ followers engaged in war ?

The Bible shows that those who truly follow Jesus Christ do not engaged in warfare.

Let just consider two scriptures;

"Return your sword to its place, for all those who take up sword will perish by sword"
Matthew 26 : 52

Consider, is a person who condones war or fight in war really obeying Jesus?

" I am giving you new command, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples if you have love among yourselves".
John 13 : 34, 35

Considering what Jesus said here, Is a person who supports warfare showing the kind of love that Jesus said will identify his disciples or followers?
