While passing through Chevron / VGC axis earlier in this afternoon, I surprisingly got the 5G signal on my phone (Poco F3).
I decided to make a quick speed test and I got a speed of 240Mbps (30MB/s).
What do you guys think? I was expecting it to be a bit faster. Maybe it will get better with time.

4g in Nigeria is just 3g in disguise.
With 5g we will only get what we are supposed to get with 4g. I don't know why these people would not offer quality products for once in their life.

Also what is the use of 5G if you won't offer unlimited service's.

the highest speed I have gotten on my MTN is 13MB/s... which area is this? 30MB/s?? wow �

which type of phone are you using?

Considering you are testing on a full bar signal
And mtn is in testing phase. Which means it should be faster.

Anything less down 500-600 is not impressive.

My thoughts exactly. Our 4G in Nigeria is 3G elsewhere. That probably explains why the 5G speed is still on par with a fast 4G speed

it's like this most places in the world. Real life speed is quite different from A controlled environment like a Lab. Everything is not about speed as far as am concerned latency is the most important thing I care about in this 5G

I didn't check latency because I was mindful of my data usage.
That latency helps a lots in online gaming

The above speed is poor for 5G imo.

I guess telecom operators gives us third world speed for data packages! In SA, it is better! But Nigeria eh? Nigeria is like the country Africa dumped all the negative vices!!

When I started seeing 30MB/s on that data speed monitor at the top of my screen, I had to save the remaining small data I have

Ok.
I am more interested in the latency though.
I am getting over 100Mbps on my mtn 4g here.

The speed is very much OK for me just want a bit improvements on the latency.
