One would look at the recent intention by the federal govt to increase data tariffs as innocent but in retrospect we have to also understand why this is happening. The Rhetoric from the ruling party and the main opposition party recently have focused more on the “obidient” movement, one common theme that seems to be repeated is that the “obidient” movement is an online movement. When you connect the dot and following the already set precedence by this govt where instead of addressing the issue they try to silence the loudest voice or use unnecessary force so I might not be far from the truth if I say that this recent intention to hike data cost is to slow the movement as the govt is slowly realizing after the Lekki toll gate incident how powerful social media Is. My predictions are in the coming months their might be renewed attempts to ban twitter or t they will flood SM with so much propaganda and falsehoods with the intention of dividing the nation along ethnic and religious line as that’s the only card they have to play
So stay vigilante check facts. The Yoruba man is not your enemy , the Hausa man is not your enemy like wise ibo and all other tribes the govt who have mismanaged this country for 24 years (democracy) is the enemy never forget that
