Has anyone here ever enrolled on IBM cyber security on Coursera before?

I did enrolled, but the first module was too boring no practical experience, all is based on theory.

If you have enrolled how was it at your end?

Lol! He said first module is boring. This is the bane of the Nigerian mindset. If it was a Nigerian university you would have been screaming that it's only theory we do. Now IBM, a proven Computing multinational is providing training by starting with the underlying concepts and you say "it's boring". Wait until you start to learn Cryptography and start with the underlying Mathematical concepts. Then you go run. A lazy person always has a reason to complain. You want to dive straight into "hacking" and running scripts shebi? Go and look for a Kali Linux YouTube tutorial for script kiddies.

No. I don't need to enroll. When people give excuse of "it's boring and no practical" on a Cyber security course, I know what they are talking about. They want to dive into "hacking" straight away. Failing to understand that the hacking tools are very powerful and need to learn the underlying theory first. When you say "No practical" do you have you hacker lab setup? Or u want to go and run those tools on live systems when you don't know how to protect yourself?

You've not even gotten through one out of the 8 courses but you know it is full of theory. You don't want to learn before you do.
