No it doesn’t , you are suppose to be best friend with your partner and there no other way to achieve this others than constant communication. it depends on what you people discuss, if she is intelligent enough to be my friend and personal adviser on everyday today activities … then it’s not bad to chat or call all the time. Discuss business, feature plans, client issues, previous experiences, mistakes and I could have handled it better, how to raise families etc all these are endless discussion. Everything in moderation. Excess ruins everything, excess attention, excess money, excess spending, excess love, excess communication.

I don't like over communication. Most of my close friends, we talk on phone once in a week, but chatted some days, not everyday. I don't enjoy constant communication with people around me, I run out of what to talk about, sometimes, even in relationship, I love communicating with my lover but not over communication.

My Mom and my auntie call me everyday, at first, I find it intriguing and excited, but recently, I am getting tired of their call, it's getting boring. They are calling everyday of this life, sometimes, I don't even know what to say to them when they call.

If nothing happens, when there's no special occasion, I prefer I communicate with my girlfriend once in a day.

I have have been in a relationship where all we do is sex.

I have also been in a relationship built around genuine friendship and a solid foundation of communication with a lots of sex.

And I can tell which one that have always worked out.

So if over communication as you put it is the problem, you probably in a relationship with the wrong person or you are the problem.
