in the beginning God created the heavens and earth and everything there in.. which means he is the owner.. the creator..... but how come when lucifer tempted jesus christ... he showed him all the good things of life...if only he would bow to him.. then it will all be his. (as another owner) Does it mean satan owns the world? did God sold the world to him after creation? was there any sort of bargain when he casted him from heaven? is there two owners of this world? God1000:God created the world as recorded in the bible.... but during the temptations of jesus christ we saw another portrayed owner. and mind you to be "TEMPTED" means it truly belongs to him. if it was a lie the bible would have used "DECEIT" so I think devil owns this world |

You've asked a brilliant question. Our world is part of a large scheme we cannot begin to comprehend. There are hundreds of millions of planets within the habitable zone of any life supporting star in our galaxy alone that have a chance for life (as we know it). If you truly believe in God, the supreme creator of this universe and other unknown universes, then you must believe that there are an infinite amount of suns with life (as we may or may not know it) giving worlds in their habitable zones. Entire worlds can be controlled like an ant colony, worlds can be completely crude with life but without intelligent life. Our world is unique because we are intelligent. Our uniqueness in such a vast space of creation cannot be limited to us alone, there must be quadrillions of intelligent life in this multiversal scale. The devil is an invention of man. Be warned. This world and the quadrillions of intelligent life supporting planets in the multiverse are subject to the creator of all. Man invented the devil to blame for his freewill as an intelligent species. A goat knows no devil but we attribute the devil with it, same as repitles, pigs (for some), etc because we're intelligent. The devil is schemed as a reason for the perceived negative thoughts and actions as a result of man's free will. This world is owned by God the creator of all. Even in the Christian religion, the devil is always portrayed as a deceiver. He didn't own the planet Earth in the temptation of Jesus. He simply lied to deceive in that instance. It is important for you to know that there are many religions on this planet without a devil regardless of the fact that a devil as an antagonist is present in the religions with the most followership. Also when we get visitors from a civilization far away and more intelligent than us in the evolutionary scale, we will look at them as either godly or a product of demonry. Disclaimer. Kobojunkie:tempted was the world used in the bible. I don't think he was lieing to Jesus Christ. if it was all a lie just to get jesus to bow... then "Tempted" shouldn't have been used. for example.. I have thousands of naira in my wallet...I left it out open in the table to see if a friend Will steal from it.. that's me tempting him yes have the money..so it's not a lie. so I think lucifer owns the world for him to "tempt" jesus christ. |

God1000: Get your facts straight before swaying one in need of knowledge from its track. Satan was never in 2nd command of any power whatsoever in heaven. He was a chief musician that carried praises from hoards of angelic hosts to God, and also was the only angel that hovered over the blazing power (light) of God with his wings. Satan was kicked out because the sought the position of God which led to an all-out war in heaven with the likes of Micheal, his fellow archangel who fought against him with other opposing hosts of angels and thus was kicked of out heaven with his minions ie. Former host of angels. Satan being the prince of this world at the disposition of God is merely a power tussle, a divine plan to separate the sheep from the goats. Don't be mistaken, God allowed Satan to tempt Christ during his fasting for a purpose and that translated to how Christians ought to fight through emulation of Christ's actions. Satan is but a mere pawn God uses to weed out the bad grass and prune his own (vineyard) for His 2nd coming. He's on a leash, for example, in the story of Job, Satan can be seen obediently following other angels administering their tasks to God when God made a bet with him about Job but ordered him not to end his life. Lastly, there's a part in the bible about how every nation will behold Satan and thus, the question rented the air asking, is this the man that brought many nations to his knees and at his disposal, how low he is at that moment meaning power was stripped off him. KiNg0G:I don't understand. Anyways, Go read the parable of the Weeds and Tares in Matthew 13 and then come back and tell me again who you think owns the field which is the world. As I said earlier. Satan is able to twist truths in order to claim advantage. That is what he did with all 3 temptations he served Jesus Christ hence the reason why Jesus Christ used the Word to counter each time. |

That's how Satan was given all the kingdoms of the world! Luke 4:6 God called Abraham He (God) wanted to start planning for His own government which will end Satan's control {Daniel 2:44} a child will be born from the lineage of Abraham and this child will end Satan's control that's has lasted for thousands of years! Isaiah 9:6-7 So by the time Satan was introducing all the kingdoms of the earth under his control he was actually trying to distract this promised Christ from focusing on his earthly mission, Satan knew that if Jesus could succeed in his earthly mission then his (Satan's) days are numbered! However, Jesus Christ who is the last Adam has overcome and will in the future collect the authority of this world from Satan. Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
