Depends on how much you have saved.
In the next 1yr you may not be able to make that amount of money in Canada. Why not save as much as you can here in Nigeria so you can go set up a small scale business when you get to Canada.

You mean after deducting all expenses you still make about ₦2m?! Then what do you want to go and do in Canada? Except you want to travel out on vacation I won't advise you relocating permanently. Just make sure you have enough savings, avoid risky business transactions and try and expand your business little by little. You can send your children schooling abroad for their University education. Relocating isn't what I'll advice.

If you make 2m monthly profit in Nigeria, pls stay here for now. 6months-1yr post election and Nigeria still no get head, you move.

Why don't you settle down and invest more on your business so it can grow to 5m/m

If u wanna hav kids... run a medical visa and hav ur kids abroad...
You can as well go for holiday anytime...

But if you decide to stop ur business and migrate... you will have to start from the basic level...

You may even drive Uber for years before u finally land that wonderful jobs...

For now... try visit Canada and use ur eyes to see how ur people are managing dere.... den with that Info... u can decide

If what you wrote here is as feasible as you said it, lots of people must have sold all their properties and Japa to Canada. People who give this kind of advise have not entered plane before.. If Op is actually earning 2m monthly he will not think of Japa rather he will visit on holiday with family.

I have no idea where you obtained this information. In Canada, an entry-level position pays between $40k and $50k. An experienced worker's salary ranges from $75k to $100k. What! I wouldn't advise you to leave Nigeria. I recently read a review on Quora about how people are getting uncomfortable with Canada and it's recent dwindling economy. The reviewer also talked about an unemployment rate with job loss that's quite discomforting.
A business that generates an average of 2m per month is not bad, to begin with. It'll get better here, especially as we hope for better governance.

Actually, I have an electrical/electronics shop which yields an average of N1.5M monthly and a computer Business center which yields average of 500k monthly. I also do CCTV, website design, ICT training/consulting,
digital/affiliate Marketting/ and Solar panel installations as they come once in a while. So The 2miliion actually comes without so much stress.

I am a masters degree holder in information technology. I have over 16yrs working experience in IT and Telecom. I scored Band 8 IELTS result with high hopes for provincial nomination to get Canadian EXpress entry. ICT jobs sells hot in Canada.

So, I am at cross road to relocate with my family completely there or take them there and return back to my Business in Nigeria.
At the end, the decision is mine but, I am also interested in sampling your sincere opinions to fuel me on and solidify what ever decision I eventually make. You get?

I would have advised you to stay. But come to think of it, nothing is stable in Nigeria.

Anything can happen anytime. If this government favours you, you are not sure of the next one.

On this case don’t sell off your business to relocate to Canada, you can choose the option of relocating your family to Canada while you return here in Nigeria until the job is guaranteed for you in Canada. You might hear ICT job sell hot in Canada but not sure until you gets there. Meanwhile I have a friend who relocated his family to Canada with express entry and back to Nigeria to continue his job. He is into engineering field

Rather think of how you can get the best of both worlds (Naija and diaspora).

Your family can start life afresh over there while you grow your business to support them.

Also leverage on your spouse and friends’ network over there to expand your business.
