This crisis is anything but over. Pretty much doubt it'll ever be over. The concessions being requested for by Wike's camp are too huge and could well mean handing over the entire national structure of the party to one man.

From there on he developed a strong aparthy towards any form of opposition within the party as he bore the burden for its survival alone.
