Early Life
Adesokan Emmanuel, the Nigerian social media comic skit maker, YouTuber, and media personality, was born on the 23rd of March 1997 in Osun State.

Shank is a Yoruba man, originally from Osun State, but was raised partly in Osun State and Lagos State. As it were, Lagos State and Osun State are in the South-Western part of Nigeria. He is currently 25 years old, and he ensures he celebrates his birthday every year.


Education
Shank Comics is a college graduate who obtained his first school leaving certificate and his West African Examination Certificate from both Lagos and Osun.

After obtaining his SSCE certificate, he proceeded to the Obafemi Awolowo University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

In 2002, he served his country as he completed his nationwide obligation to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Early Career
Initially, Shank’s dream was to be a certified engineer. However, due to unemployment and extreme poverty, he was forced to go into the business of comedy and entertainment just to sustain himself. He started his comedies and, in no time, gained lots of engagement and followers across all his social media.

Rising to prominence after his short comic video tagged “I like Yansh But I No Dey See Yansh Press” went viral on the internet, Shank has been in the entertainment industry for less than half a decade.

As it were, popular Nigerian entertainers with huge social media followers like Tunde Ednut and Kaptain Kush had reposted his viral video while it was still on the “about to go viral stage.”
