This is in response to this thread about Tinubu’s achievement in Lagos.

And I am not here to engage in campaign of calumny but an issue based conversation.
I just have very simple questions for Tinubu’s proponents on that thread.

Let’s imagine for a second that Tinubu truly raised IGR for successive governors to use, are we then to expect him to only generate IGR in his 8 years as president with not much to show for it, hoping that only successive presidents will be the one to utilize it in the grand way Fashola and Ambode did?

Or why did he not commission those laudable projects of his successors while he was in office?

It also begs for the question where did he spend all that IGR in his own tenure that can be pointed out vividly like the OP did for his successors on that thread?

Because we need to properly engage these candidates and their proponents for the electorate to make a well informed decision in 2023 hopefully.

Just simple plain responses please. Thanks

Maybe the IGR generator stole all the huge money he generated. No wonder Bode George is chasing him up and down for his own cut. grin

And since when did generating a high IGR become an achievement? You overtax lagosians and companies in Lagos with irrational taxes like
- Taxing them to pack in their compound.
- Tollling roads built with state money.
- Taxing market users and having agberos in every junction double taxing people.

And you call that an achievement?
Is that what he wants to come and replicate as president?
Nigeria doesn't have a revenue problem; we have a spending problem.

So if IGR is the best that prime TInubu could offer, then he's a wrong choice.
