Hi there, I didn't go to church today, I stayed back to think.
The rate at which we are banging ourselves in church is unacceptable. The church which is the Ground and Pillar of truth has in our time become somewhat of a meeting ground for lust driven, unrepentant peeps.
Hardly can you find a relationship that is founded on Christian principles. (We dey do ham no mean say e right)
Say for example you are approached by a brother in church and you are hoping for something beautiful from the relationship- next thing you know, brother is asking "when are you coming over?". Before you say cup of tea, brother is showing proficiency in undoing bra. But brother is not to shoulder all the blame, sister self what did you think was going to happen in brother's place?
We need to restore the honor and sanctity of sex in churches. The unprecedented rise in sexual escapade among Christians can be pinned to two things in my opinion. The first is the lack of preaching ( a sermon aimed at converting the people from the wickedness of sin), this could be because of the need to make people comfortable and to maintain public relations. The second is evidently the lack of emphasis on the Bible, ideas are preached in the guise of mysteries instead of the word of God. So many church members effective haven't heard anything from the gospels in months.
The result is that we go to church but are lacking in the fruits of God's spirit.
When last did you hear a sermon in church that was solely directed towards making you a better human being before God?
