They say ASUU is fighting for the students, but I am saying that ASUU is selfish and fighting for their stomach. I supported them initially when they embarked on this strike, but when I see the wickedness exuded by them even after FG have met with some of their demands, but they still won't back off, so that students who are the ones facing the heat of it can return to school, I want to say God punish ASUU . This usêlèss union should be scrape out totally, we have other unions, but non do like ASUU. ASUU is a union used by students village people to punished them to be in school forever. 111 Likes 9 Shares |

The country is one hell of a messed environment when it comes to education. Little wonder why an agbero like Oluomo takes his children away to study while feasting on the tears with these men who call themselves government. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

ASUU is selfish for still keeping the students at home. Thank God for few state universities that did not join the strike. Even Kogi State University too. Since 2017, the university has been operating a smooth academic calendar. One of the commendable things Yahaya Bello did as a governor of Kogi. 36 Likes 4 Shares |

ASUU lost its relevance the moment PDP and LP hijacked the strike in order to score some political points against the ruling party. The adage says: 'He who pays the piper, dictates the tune'. You can't tell your employer how to pay you, yours is to receive salary as at when due. Telling FG you don't want IPPIS while other workers in Nigeria are being paid on same platform is an insult taken too far. 28 Likes 5 Shares |

Can't the FG just scrape this ASUU? The issue is getting out of hand. Imagine not working for 6 months and demanding for the 6 months full salary. How selfish can they be? Who'll pay for the 6 months wasted at home by students? Some who'd have graduated and moved on with their lives by now have been held back by this nonsense. If there's any way Buhari can end ASUU, I'll say it's the greatest service he has done for the Nigerian state.... After all, in the lecturer's appointment letter, na FG employ them not ASUU. Well, if you have a need for a car, you're in luck as I've got some very good cars for sale at very pocket friendly prices. From a Mazda CX-9 2008 to a Toyota Camry 2004 and 2011, Toyota Sienna 2001, a Hyundai Sonata and several other good cars at excellent conditions. ASUU have fallen into the 'trap' set by the FG... The present FG however does not care about Tertiary Education in Nigeria & it has since stopped pretending to give a damn. Its strategy is that the Nigerian populace would be the ones to put pressure on ASUU. We keep castigating our Public Tertiary Institutions & yet, when lecturers, through the Union, try to correct the downward spiral, rather than hold the government responsible, we insult the lecturers... Well, it is good that state universities are pulling out, so consequently as a first step & since state governments have said they have no business with ASUU's demands since it is a federal issue, the funding of State universities through TETFund should stop. Most states just establish universities with the mindset that the FG, through TETFund would fund the capital intensive infrastructure. If the money given to state institutions is redirected to the federal universities, the impact would be greater felt. So, the push for now is that let TETFund stop funding state Tertiary institutions and let the funds be redirected to solve some of the federal institution's challenges... 10 Likes 1 Share |

Disclaimer: I am not a lecturer or relative to anyone but just. Nigerian citizen. The students complaining ASUU is fighting for their pockets alone are all funny. This same set of people will be moaning about the infrastructural deficit of the Nigerian university. They will complain about harsh lecturing conditions, they will complain that they can't compete with counter parts abroad, they will complain about the whole system. Yet they are so dumb to even cross examine the demands of ASUU to understand if in the long run it's to their favour. How can you justify myriads of graduates who are chunned out and can't even express themselves in interview confidently. One was asked his next if kin and she mentioned her dean of her faculty in school then who isn't related to her by blood even extended wise sef but graduated with a 2:1 in political science. My opinion: It is apparent that Nigerians love suffering. I don't blame politicians who milk the nations wealth to their advantage, dispense injustice to the people and even create harsh conditions for people to thrive. I can never join any protest or lead one because those you are fighting for will turn their back against you soonest. For me it's all man to himself. 13 Likes 2 Shares |
