FACILITY MANAGER
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Brief
We are looking for multi-skilled candidates who can balance technical maintenance with good people skills. Facilities managers are responsible for creating a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean and installing and maintaining adequate communications infrastructure, among other duties.
Moreover, facilities managers need to be able to attend to multiple concerns involving both workers and their working environment, requiring good organizational and multitasking ability.
The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.
The goal is to ensure our business’s accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.

Facilities Manager Responsibilities:
Fostering a professional working environment.
Ensuring a constant security presence.
Act as a contact point between staff at our Apapa facility and HQ Administration.
Allocate office space according to needs
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly and in good working condition.
Overseeing refurbishments and renovations.
Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.
Ensuring building and ground maintenance and managing waste disposal systems.
Installing and maintaining adequate communications infrastructure
Handle insurance plans and service contracts
Managing parking facilities and ensuring space
Keep non-financial records
Perform analysis and forecasting


Facilities Manager Requirements:
3+ years in facility management, office administration or similar role.
BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field.
Project management skills.
Good organizational skills and multitasking ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and good time management.
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
Excellent leadership skills and good analytical/critical thinking.
Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
Must be a well organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter.
Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
