It's the standard procedure, you can't anounce the death of a Queen without the presence of the new King or Queen, I mean without the permission of Buckingham palace which the crown prince or princess heads after the demise of the monarch.

Do you expect the King to hear the demise of his mother on social media just as you heard it?

Another scenario may be that she might be really incapacitated to an extent where she has given the go ahead for her doctors to peacefully send her to the great beyond in order to ease her pains , of course this will be highly classified and the heir will be needed to sanction the move.

All of these are just scenarios that may happen to ensure peaceful transition.

They are not regular people... they have to consult some extreme close relative and top leaders before announcing to the public...

That process will delay the general announcement time

She's not an ordinary person

There's a picture of her a day or 2 before her death welcoming Elizabeth Truss, the UK prime Minister into her residence.

when your grand father died (even though he wasn't rich ). Protocols were duely observed even before your community people heard about the death. When my paternal granny died. People didn't notice. It was when the ambulance bus came midnight that people started suspecting something.
