They receive one of the highest federal allocation in the south that's why they have enough finance to execute such gigantic & world-class projects.
You can't say the same about states like Abia, Imo, Bayelsa, Osun, & Cross Rivers which receive far less amount hence their low level of development
Correction: delta received the highest while rivers have the highest IGR so rest

I'm not even from Akwa Ibom but I want so badly for those things to happen to this state. I only ever hear good news from there.

I pray to God and our ancestors and the motherland that something changes in the next election. Nigeria could be on the path of rapid development in the next 6-7 years.

Amen

Remove Bayelsa State from that list they ranked tops in terms of Federal Allocation with just 8LGAs.
But most communities in Bayelsa state are battling with effects of environmental degradation like oil spills, contamination of water bodies etc. They are also battling with insecurities like militancy & kidnapping.
So I believe that most of their allocation goes into tackling these issues.
Hence, they have little money left for developmental projects & empowerment programmes for their citizens even if their allocation may be higher compared to those states that lack these challenges.

In the case of Delta State, most of their allocation goes into tackling insecurity hence, they have little left for developmental projects.
This is even coupled with the fact that the state is even larger & more populated than Akwa Ibom

You can call it shopping mall because you don't know what is terminal. They're different terminals in airport. Don't forget ibom air is currently operating in many states, the call this one smart terminal. Get it to your head the main airport term is there. Did u see ibom air on that picture? Don't comment on what you don't know. You can Google about Victor attah international airport, this is not federal government airport like in Lagos and Abuja, just the state own ok. Show us the one in your state.

"Akwa Ibom receives one of the highest federal allocation in the south"
"You can't say the same about states like Abia, Imo, Bayelsa, Osun, & Cross Rivers which receive far less amount hence their low level of development"
.

I quoted you based on the impression you made above, that Bayelsa State is one of the State that receives Low Allocation from FG, hence Bayelsa State is in the same level with the States you mentioned above, which factually, NOT TRUE.

Now, let me further let you know that Bayelsa State trails Akwa Ibom State in the TOP 5 States in FAAC ranking, hence receives more than ₦100Billion yearly from FG, IGR not inclusive, non of Abia, Imo, Osun, Cross River comes close.

Those factors you listed as limitations to why Bayelsa State is not developing is Laughable, Oil spill is handled by FG, militancy activities is not longer seen or heard of, that has been laid to rest long time ago, even with their difficult swampy terrain, Bayelsa State has no excuses not to develop with just 8LGAs.

Are you aware that Bayelsa State has it own Airport built by the immediate former Governor Dickson? Where did they get the money to achieve that?

Abia &Imo states you even mentioned has more money monthly or annually than Osun State, if they should combine FAAC&IGR, the two states are also entitled&currently enjoying the 13% derivation from Crude oil. Abia has one of the most impressive Internally Generated Revenue in the country, thanks to the ever-bustling industrial & commercial cosmopolitan city of Aba.

The FG releases N16.6bn to construct Yobe Airport while in the south, they have to cough out their own resources to build theirs. Some of us have facts, while the rest of you have insults

Why are you complaining of imaginary insecurity up&down in South-South States, is there any news that we have steady insecurity issues, or is Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa giving you excuses that money mearnt for development goes to insecurity, when there's security votes(money) for all Governors nationwide?

What do you have to say about the miracle Prof. (Engr.) Babagana Umara Zulum is performing, I mean the developmental strides he has achieved in a Borno with Larger Landmass& population in the face of serious & challenging security issues??

If you were to be a leader entrusted with funds to develop or make life meaningful in your place, your excuses would have been worst than Buhari's own.

But don't forget that Borno state receive massive donations from foreign NGOs (in millions of dollars), hence they have more funds than Delta State if u make the comparison.
Also, Borno state will most likely have less population to cater for ( remember that terrorism has killed much of their populace). Their allocation + foreign donations in millions of dollars coupled with their comparatively less population, definitely gives them an edge in terms of development if u compare them with Delta State. Remember that Delta State does not receive any foreign donation.

This is federal airport just like Kano, Lagos and Enugu.
List an airport built by FG that will be handed back to state. Then list airport built by southern governors that will or was handed to FG. Thanks.

Those donations strictly goes to IDPs, to provide food, drugs, medical attention&other social services, &the usage of the funds is properly monitored. Prof. Zullum does not used the money to construct massive roads, schools, etc that he has done so far.

How many millions of people Terrorism killed in Borno State, the State IGR is almost close to nothing due to businesses folds up as a result of insecurity, if Delta State do not have foreign donation but has a much more massive IGR than Borno State.
With Billions Delta State has been collecting from FG+healthy IGR with less security issues &paltry sum Borno State gets from FG Monthly couple with security challenges which State suppose to make progress interms of development?

Lame excuses of defending Lazy Governors of not performing with enough funds at their disposal is very Laughable.

Which Akwa Ibom Allocation is over N30 Billion
Akwa Ibom allocation from the FG is not up to N30 Billion as you exaggerate ok, it's only Akwa Ibom IGR that's above N30 Billion yearly.
Akwa Ibom Airport under construction is a modern Airport and not some sort of buildings with the color riot that I'm seeing elsewhere grin

Ebubu:

dundee, akwa ibom monthly allocation from FG is over 30billion while Ebonyi monthly allocation is a little over 1billion.

have sense

Your fhooolishness knows no bound i swear.

How dare you ediot talk rush out of sheer bitterness, let me tell you, yhe standard of infrastructure in Akwa Ibom can not be compared to all those low budget ones built by Umahi.

You calling this 21st century smart airpot terminal a plaza shows how daft you are.

Topmaike007:
didirin nothing will happen grin and moreover you should be ashamed of yourself because with the allocation Akwa ibom are receiving They should be competing with the likes of Lagos State and Abuja and not building this Plaza and calling it Terminal even Oshodi bus terminal and Lagferry terminal fine pass.

Come to Ebonyi and see schools and road built by one man no be this one wey Udom just use Black paint polish dey call road after 4 years it will be nothing to write home about .
