If you travel through aeroplane ✈ or if you're using a smartphone —know that approximately 60% of the raw materials used in the production of your smart phones are gotten from the D.R.C. !!!

Congo's cobalt is used in the production of lithium-ion batteries used in smart phones such as iPhone and other gadgets.

There are many foreign companies in DRC such as Apple, Glencore, The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin etc who looting their resources and carrying away all the money while underdeveloping the region to keep the people in extreme poverty in order to maintain the status-quo of cheap labour in the D.R.C!

1) Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino, California, that designs, develops and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and online services.

2) Glencore plc is an Anglo-Swiss multinational commodity trading and mining company

3) The Boeing Company is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, telecommunications equipment, and missiles worldwide.

4) Lockheed Martin Corporation is an American aerospace, defense, arms, security, and advanced technologies company with worldwide interests.

Poverty and child labourers has become a norm in the D.R.C. Many children revealed horror of working in mines ⚒ because they have to risk their lives to mine cobalt for the multinational foreign companies in order for them to earn money to buy food and provide shelter for themselves.

Many Congolese child die when some these mines collapsed.

Due to the abundance of natural resources in D.R.C, these multinational companies are sponsoring insurgency in the region in order to keep the people in fear of controlling their own resources!

It has been estimated that over 6 million people have died in D.R.C since 1996 till now! Why is the turning blind eyes to the Congolese people? Why is nobody questioning or petitioning these multinational companies?

What is happening in D.R.C is happening in many other countries in Africa, but when a leader rise to nationalize these resources for his people, the rogue dictators from the outside world will demonize him and call him names or they'll get rid of him by assassinating him!

That was how Belgium assassinated the first Prime Minister of D.R.C, Patrice Lumumba who refused to be their puppet. He was murdered, buried, his remains was later excavated, cut into pieces and dissolved in sulphuric acid. What kind of evilness and injustice is that?

Why do African Union continue to accept this indignity? I think African Union needs to understand that any acceptance of humiliation, indignity or insult, is an acceptance of inferiority! When are you going to stop these parasites from impoverishing our people?

I keep asking the United Nations and United Nations Human Rights — why is it that our lives don't count in Africa? What exactly is the purpose of your organization if we as African people are being treated like second-class citizens of the world?

HOW MANY MORE HAVE TO DIE IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

You kill your own people and sell your resources cheaply to foreigners who don't give a fvck

Same thing with Nigerian 2.5 m barrels crude oil per day and all the mineral resources in the North mined by Africans sold cheaply to Asians

If as Africans we act like Dangote who is talking over manufacturing and production a day at time we would be great

Africa is the future of the world but currently it is a waste land used in allowing the dead to bury the dead.

Some African countries are cursed with bad leadership. E.g Nigeria.

Congo DRC is so blessed with natural resources, the resources they have are enough to make every citizen of that country a multi-millionnaire in dollar terms. But as usual, the white-men came, won some of their brothers to their side, put a knife on the things that held them together and they fell apart embarassed. When two brothers fight themselves to death, a stranger takes over their inheritance, that's why only the foreign companies are enjoying the natural resources that belong to Congo DRC while the citizens keep living in poverty, death and continuous war embarassed

Africans that had resources but didn't even know what it was used for. A white man travelled all the way from his country to discover it and utilize it, una come sit down here dey complain dominance. Yeye talk. Ordinary crude oil, we can't refine after donkey years in Nigeria, we shipping out. We didn't discover these things,so we can't harness or value it like the white man.

The problem of Africans in Africa is damn complicated..
First, as someone said above, we did not know how to use our resources till the white men came...then even after their invasion, they created a strategy that can never allow the Africans to understand everything about How they use these minerals to produce valuable goods.
Second, Africans are mostly tribalistic and nepotistic in nature. The white men know this, and always use this against us.
Also, we are too religious (the white men introduced this to us and later abandoned it), superstitious, plagued with inferiority complex and what have you...
To make the complications perfect, we then have a very perfect set of greedy and non visionary leaders.

This is why we are still here...this is why we will still be where we are; not just DR Congo, but Africa at large
