Enugu has been ravaged by water scarcity for over 100yrs. It appears that the leaders of the state are clueless as to how to solve the age long menace. Aside dilapidated roads and filthy environment, enugu is equally battling acute water supply. Most residents of enugu metropolis goes for days without bathing due to water scarcity. People in enugu drink coloured water because of scarcity of portable drinking water. Enugu is equally the poverty capital of southern Nigeria(NBS). It is yet to be known if the water scarcity in the state is directly linked to the poverty in the state.
