The top 5 Hottest Selling products in Nigeria are:

1)Smartphones: According to the Statista report in 2022, Nigeria, African most populous black race has about 10 to 20 percent smartphone users. Although, the majority of its mobile users are still using feature phones which offer basic phone functions like voice calling.

Currently, the newly released iphone14 is the leading smartphone in Nigeria. Although Chinese manufactured smartphones such as Tecno, Itel, redmi, and Infinix are also holding strong positions in the market.

According to Counterpoint, smartphone sales in Nigeria increased by 91% in 2022. This clearly shows that Nigerians are demanding this product.

2) Beauty Accessories: When you mention "beauty", you will find most Nigerians there. Ladies always and will always want to look good and take care of themselves. The market is flooded with beauty accessories. According to Euromonitor 2022, the value of Nigeria’s cosmetic retail sales grew by an average of 14.5 per cent and added hundreds of billions of naira to the economy.

The sector recorded a turnover of N1.034 trillion in 2021 with mass beauty/personal care controlling 45.5 per cent or N470 billion in absolute figures.

These statistics show the high demand for cosmetics in Nigeria. At the locals, many beauty shops have an array of beauty and skin care products. 8 in every 10 Nigerians have a beauty cosmetic at home. In 2022, the turnover has increased and the demand keeps going high.

3) Fashion: An average Nigerian always loves to look good for the cameras. They are so conscious of what they wear and who they wear. According to the Executive Director, Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Dr Ezra Yakusa, the fashion sector alone presently accounts for 37 per cent of e-commerce revenues in Nigeria’s economy. This revelation points out that there is an increasing demand for clothes in Nigeria.

Also, most Nigerians always seek to wear what celebrities wear. This singular attitude has made them try more outfits.

4) Foodstuffs: Food items are the core of every Nigerian home. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) 2022, Imported food inflation in Nigeria rose to a 5-year high of 17.94% in August 2022 and has consistently increased for the past three months. They further added that 85% of every Nigerian uses their income to purchase foodstuffs.

Foodstuffs like Rice, flour, Crayfish and beans will always be found in a typical Nigerian home. No matter the harsh economy, food items will always be in demand because it is the basic unit of life.

5) Cooking Gas: With the advent of cooking gas, the archaic kerosene stove has moved into extinction. About 70% to 85% of Nigerians have cooking gas in their home. Everyone wants to get and fill their cooking gas.

According to the latest market report, a kg goes for 800naira and Nigerians can still afford it. More are still buying as of today and the market is willing to accommodate more.

1. Fashion Products:
This is Proudly second to NONE!!!. Who would want to wear shabby or old fashioned clothes in Naija? Of course!. No one!.

The STRANGE looks of your neighbors or friends will make feel you've committed a very great crime. In fact it will reset your fashion mindset by 100%.

From Suit to Native wears, then to Dress, Wrappers (hanko not too familiar ) , to swim clothes for women, Nigerians can not do without wearing good clothes.

That's why the average Nigerians spend money on fashion products even if the money is not AVAILABLE, we readily settle for The famous "Okirika" clothes.

"At least we no dey carry last" my neighbor will say.

There are many HOT selling fashion wears out there but to mention just a few products:

From

• Shoes: Many Nigerian youths will smile when you mention the word PAM. A average Nigerian youth will understand that.

• Sandals: most students in basic schools will need new sandals every term.

2. Baby Products
Baby products are another high in demand products in Nigeria.

Do know that there is a 10% probability of the population of babies to be twins in Nigeria? Yes!!!.

There are major reasons why the phone products is consistently securing it third place as One of the HOTTEST Products in Nigeria

One, There is almost no youth that does not possess a phone in Nigeria in fact There is no youth that can't do without a phone.

The top Five hottest selling products in my community, Nigeria are:

1) Phones. Almost everyone in my community has a phone which they use to surf the internet.

2) Sweater and Umbrella. Oooh, my gosh! Due to the incessant rainfall, everyone is patronising the Sunday sweater market to get thick sweaters to beat the cold. Also, umbrella goes with the sweater. While buyingbthe sweater, they opt for umbrella as well to curb unforeseen rainfall.

3) Clothes. Mama Uchenna is indeed flowing in money as I type this missive. You need to see the bale of clothes she order from Lagos and sells at a giveaway price in my community. The number of customer she has amass still surprise me. I really envy her. How I wish I have money to venture into this as well.

4) Power bank. Due to the epileptic power supply in my community, everyone is buying oriamo power bank. The megawatz is helpful in times as this. Almost everyone is looking for how to get one as I type. The demand is very high.

5) Cars. They say the economy is in shambles but the number of cars in my street keeps increasing. Can you imagine! The Electrician at Affa street just bought a brand new nissan. You needed to see it. It was glittering like a diamond. Many more are saving to get theirs. The demand for cars is increasing in 2022.
