I forsee many more collapsing. Nigerians hate maintenance, they think it is a waste of money; and also Nigeria lacks expertise in many things except stealing and corruption.

1. MATERIAL TESTING IS NIL
2. BLOCKS ARE NOT MIXED TO SPECIFICATION
3. MOST IRON RODS IN THE MARKET ARE SUBSTANDARD. ( I HAVE SEEN RECYCLED RODS)
4. CLIENTS/CONTRACTORS ARE IN A HURRY
5. NO SOIL TEST
6. CONSTRUCTING ABOVE APPROVED LIMIT;
EG:- BUILDING FIVE FLOORS INSTEAD OF TWO.

Developers!!! All these so called estate developers need to be stopped immediately! They're the ones responsible for most collapsed buildings, always trying to cut costs and using quacks instead of paying registered civil engineers for their services...

If you check well, that building probably has no approval to begin with.

That building is over 40years old.
