Dear brethren, your labour shall not be in vain.

Shalom.
That actually depends on what the labor is. If you labor for perishable bread, for example, you labor is in vain - John 6 vs 25 - 35 undecided
25 The people found Jesus on the other side of the lake. They asked him, “Teacher, when did you come here?”
26 He answered, “Why are you looking for me? Is it because you saw miraculous signs? The truth is, you are looking for me because you ate the bread and were satisfied.
27  But earthly food spoils and ruins. So don’t work to get that kind of food. But work to get the food that stays good and gives you eternal life. The Son of Man will give you that food. He is the only one qualified by God the Father to give it to you.
28 The people asked Jesus, “What does God want us to do?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work God wants you to do is this: to believe in the one he sent.”
30 So the people asked, “What miraculous sign will you do for us? If we can see you do a miracle, then we will believe you. What will you do?
31 Our ancestors were given manna to eat in the desert. As the Scriptures say, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat. - John 6 vs 25 - 31
Right there in verse 27, Jesus Christ tells you that you no longer work for food that perishes but instead work for food that endures to eternity which only He can give you.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. ~ 1 Corinthians 15 : 58

Well, Paul's view aside, the point is that those who belong to Jesus Christ are to no longer work for perishable food meaning you are no longer to have a job/career/business/career as a form of livelihood. And Yes, even your pastor and mogs who draw their income(perishable bread) from doing that which they pretend is the work of God are in the wrong. Jesus Christ called His very first disciples away from their various livelihoods and careers in order to make them fishers of men, as the career for all those who belong in the Kingdom of God - work that is believing in the Father and doing only that which the Father has called on us to do. undecided

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. ~ John 16:33

Brethren, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: ~ 1 Peter 5:8
All this does not change that which was commanded of His followers by Jesus Christ, does it? undecided

Look, what this means is if you are still drawing a salary or working to make ends meet in the way that all in the world are used to, then you are not of Jesus Christ and your labors are in vain. undecided

As for this statement above, well, it is to refute the claims of those who say they fight what they refer to as spiritual battles. How can one who has peace exist in and engage in battles of any kind? No be juju be that? undecided

One really ought to carefully these things. There in that verse, Jesus Christ basically told His followers that they have no battles to fight since He has already defeated the world on their behalf, in addition to giving them peace to exist in the world with. Therefore, there are no battles for them to fight or worry themselves with as all they have to do is live their lives in continuous submission and obedience of His teachings and commandment - those who love Him. So those who claim to live in Jesus Christ yet engage in "battles" are nothing but liars. undecided

Psalm 145 A psalm of praise. Of David. [1]
1
I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2
Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
3
Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
4
One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.
5
They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. [2]
6
They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7
They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
8
The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9
The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10
All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you.
11
They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12
so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. [3]
14
The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17
The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.
18
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
20
The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21
My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
