Am I On The Right Path? My Programming Journey by Savagr(m): 2:20pm On Oct 02, 2022
what is it that's I'm destined to do, am I on the right path?
this has always been a question on my mind for sometime now and I can't help but to keep thinking and thinking about it. the future looks promising but setting the path sends shivers down my spine each time I think about it. Am I following someone's dream in place of mine?
since late 2020s, when I finished my secondary school education, when I know nothing about the real world and always believed that since am a bright student at school that I will be great, but, that wasn't the case as immediately I was out of school I started experiencing what the world looks like
what it is to be a young adult, different paths that leads to same route. but then, which was the best to follow.
sometime around 2018/19, I was surfing around the internet trying to get every damn knowledge I can find irrespective of the usefulness to me.
so I was at forbes website and going through the list. I found out that a word kept repeating itself. and then, what was that? the word "Programmer". I had already encountered the word sometime at a data processing class(Computer Science) and then had not put my mind at what it means rather, just read the word and wrote my examinations and passed because that was what I cared about at the time.
fast-forward to 2020, during the covid-19 era, all students were at home and then, for the finalists, we always attended lessons at our proprietor's house where we reviewed what has been taught to us, prepared for the examinations ahead and also catch cruise.
An Alumnus of the school was always seen around the school and the fact that he left the school some two or three years back. I was wondering whether he became a yahoo boy or some sort of diabolical stuff but then a close friend of his who was also a classmate of mine told me he is a "programmer".
there and then, I found interest in that word again grin
so I started researching about the word and found out what it means and how I can be one.
then, the challenge came lipsrsealed, it required some money and a pc to get started, I became weak because I had nothing on me but was willing to start out.
I read some tutorials on html and css and then quitted along the line. then, a breakthrough came when my mom told me that I needed to choose a skill and become proficient in it to have it as a added advantage before going to Tetiary institution. before then, I always had interest in becoming a lawyer and then a politician when unfortunately, hasn't gone out of my mind rather it keeps springing up every now and then cry
I suggested programming since that's what on my mind and then she gave me everything and I started out.
After 6 months, I've gotten the basic knowledge and was willing to start working.but then, being an introvert it became another challenge to me

Then I started running around trying to find out how to get a job, I applied for internship but then, I couldn't get any because the town I live in is a business town and tech and innovative institute are always scanty.
I went another way shocked because since I had already had a prior knowledge of programming and was better than my mates who learnt the same skill with me. Yet, they kept getting gigs here and there. I needed to also join the winning train cheesy

I found out they were more connected and then knew some of the working boys around and so they always create some sites for them for the operation.
There was another of my shortcoming as I was an introvert who had none of the guys to get closer to.
I tried making friends with a few and then, I found out most of them were Old Takers
And those who weren't broke were somehow not ready to give me a job or already had one.
So that made me fall into depression and then the question came again?

Although I'm not where I want to be, I believe there's some progress being made
And I think God for how far I've gone and will still go❤️

You're on the wrongest path.

If you end up building sites for working boys

You'll remain a script installer all your life and a template merchant.

The only sites working boys use are

Investment sites

Banking sites

Alibaba sites

Delivery sites

And btc trading sites

All these are available on codecanyon.

To build real success as a developer you need to spend at least 8months to a year learning how to code and build your own stuff

Once you've learnt the next thing is to set yourself in the position of opportunity.

Don't let small small change from GBoys deceive you

You'll appear richer than them in no time once u start earning in $$

Imagine u get a job paying just $1000

That's N700k+ in naira today

You'll automatically be a high income earner in today's Nigeria

Hard work I really the language of the Tech world.... or anything that can stand the test of time....
