1.Okin Biscuit

There was no other biscuit, Okin biscuit was in a class of its own. It was the go-to snacks for pupils. The four corner one was a personal favaorite. Who can forget?

2. Baba dudu

The mallam who had a small kiosk down the street was a regular customer because he sold ‘baba dudu’, the seet candy that could be as long as you want.

3. Goody goody

I particularly like the advert. It had an interesting sing-along tune. That could not compoare to the chocolatey taste it left in the mouth.

4. Robot/Bazooka/Jenka /Banana chewing gums

They were very affordable. I think about 50k or so per one. It was a nice feeling chewing after grabbing a couple of them.

5. Cookies

Speedy, Milk Maid, Fishly, Coconut Cookies, Pepper Snacks were in high demand at a time. Can you recall?

It is speedy biscuit for me anytime or day. Add peanuts or groundnut to it and cold water, and welcome to paradise. The final experience though irritating is the cleansing of the gum with the forefinger after eating.

You see that banana chewing and goody goody, they are very annoying because sometimes the big part of them stick to the paper wrap turning one to a goat as he struggles to lick the paper..." so that no one go lost cause money go waste".

Banana gum is a scam. I don't even chew it for long. After extracting the sugary taste for the first minutes, i threw it away before it eventually becomes tough.

It's because of the number in cheap amounts that do make us buy it. They are like luxuries you don't need but just want to use to boost your ego. Just imagine other kids or your siblings begging you for half gum when you have close to 10. cheesy

It's that speedy biscuit that has always caught my attention right from time. Sometimes we pray that it should contain an 8 shape - when two cookies stick together.

Life is beautiful..."na money spoil everything".
