SEC Fines Kim Kardashian $1.2million For Promoting Cryptocurrency by altcoinng: 2:42pm On Oct 03, 2022 |
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Kim Kardashian of illegally advertising a cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency was offered by EthereumMax project, moreover, Kardashian did not specify the amount she received for the promotional post. The celebrity has agreed to pay a $1.26 million fine and will cooperate with an SEC investigation. Today we charged Kim Kardashian with illegal cryptocurrency advertising. This case is a reminder that celebrity endorsements of investment solutions, including crypto-asset-backed securities, do not mean they are appropriate for all investors,” SEC Chairman Gary Gensler tweeted. https://altcoin.ng/sec-fines-kim-kardashian-1-2million-for-promoting-cryptocurrency/ |
