To declare positive things about your life is one of the biggest lessons I have learned so far. Say out loud what you want to see in your life, write it down and then work towards it.

how I practiced positive declarations back in school.

Well, here is the story.

Throughout my undergrad days, I would always write the grades I wanted in certain courses at the back of my notebook every semester and I say them out loud. Believe me when I say I made those grades, even when conditions threatened them.

I remember when a lecturer threatened that “no student will get an A in his course”. I was scared like the rest of the class but continued to say my declarations, do my best, and believe that my outcome will be different. Alas! I was the only one who made an A in that course. Since then, I never underestimated the power of positive declarations (and God’s grace of course).

Other things that I positively declared are:
1. I will get a Master’s and PhD degree abroad even when I had no idea how It will be funded. I said this right from my first year as an undergrad.
2. I will be a landlord before I get married. My late mom still reminded of this when I shared the news.
3. I will get a job on or before the completion of my PhD. Well, it happened so unexpectedly.

It is important to note that a lot of proactive hardwork and discipline occurred behind the scenes for these things to manifest (it will not happen automatically just because you declared them). I, however, believe that the strength to focus and do the hard work came from the mindset birthed out of those positive declarations.

Also, when you work on your mind to remain positive via your declarations, you will attract positive things to yourself and unleash potentials you never thought you had.

Certainly, some things will not go as planned, but in the end you will see that they all work out as you have hoped, or even better.
