I get this my land like 5years bank. And presently I have nothing doing. Cos I lost my job some years ago. So I feel I should sale my land out and get a mini bus so I can be making money to take care of my bills. What did you'd think about this my fellow narialander

First, you must know, “Losing a job isn’t devastating if you realize that salary is the pills employers give employees to forget their dreams.”

Why not use it to start real estate instead. That’s easier rather than the transport business. Vehicles require maintenance, land doesn’t, aside from getting it cleaned out. Poor road transport infrastructure, Road congestion due to urbanization and overpopulation, traffic congestion… ticketing and registration issues, crime rates on roads, are also problems to consider.

Sell it, look for another cheaper, in a better environment, take profit, on and on.

Then, you could do something useful with the savings from the savings.

Mark Twain said: “Buy land, they aren’t making any more of it”. People are keeping to these words by buying land before it becomes a scarce commodity. Land holding, like shareholding, can be improved upon with time. A buyer can buy land today and improve on it by adding value and build a residential or office apartment on it in the future.

People are more enthusiastic in buying properties, many collects loans to buy properties, even when they may not develop it, or live in it.

It’s more lucrative

THE VEHICLE YOU INTEND TO BUY COULD BREAKDOWN, GET DESTROYED, STOLEN, E’tcetera… and most of all depreciates, but not same with land as it appreciates.

You already have a business, why looking for another one afar off.

Why not? Transportation business is very lucrative especially if you're diligent and disciplined.
Why allow hunger to kill you and your family when you have such asset?
You might also consider getting loan and using the land as collateral.

Read that again.

My own dad sold a plot of land to start a transportation business. The business collapsed.
No more land, no more vehicles.

If you haven't bought the land back then, what will you have sold now?
Best is to rent the land to church, school, farm, block makers, malams... anybody. Then double your efforts to secure another job.

If you sell the land, you might never have another opportunity to buy another.
I wish you the very best.
