Threats by the Boko Haram sect to bomb the Nigerian Police headquarters in Maiduguri, Borno State collapsed yesterday after a man who crashed his bomb laden vehicle through the gates of the command headquarters was shot dead.

One can see that these bombers are not fools operating with locally made equipment. Government should have their eyes on those people that sell these equipments found in the guys car.  If not a fool, how will you knock down a policemand at the police headquaters and expect that you can effectively carry out your "evil" assignment? WEll, he who kills by the bomb shall die by bomb or bomb's allied forces.

My doubt is increasing by the day that govt intelligence agencies do not know the financiers of this Boko Haram group. Could some men in the intelligence agencies be on the payroll of the financiers of this Boko Haram group? Otherwise, the financiers would have been exposed and dealt with by now.

I expected the police to show the vehicle nd the so called boms inside.How could they see the Bombs in the vehicle when the car was said to be moving?True what I ve see on d pages of newspapers today are all d same pixs.none is different.if they took d guys pix y not d car with the Arms?This could even be released to the media to act as a sort of PR for the police.

Sounds great but why should the police kill the man in order to arrest him? Why not arrest him alife and show him and the explosives he is carrying to the public? His relatives and others would have seen him and make many useful revelations that would have help police in their work. Recall what made this boko haram restive is the killing of Mohammadu Yusuf, their leader by police. I think our police is failing in their intelligence and tactics. If they have arrested the man alife, he would have made many useful confessional statement which is not possible again. God help us.
