The dead man was simply a victim of what was his own foolishness/gullibility, sadly!

Jesus Christ warned His followers against believing such lies that suggest that God, His Truth, and the Kingdom of God can be found here or there, lies that would be pedaled by false teachers and false prophets.
A. He told His followers not to believe in such lies. So you can imagine how all those who rush out to find God here or there are simply doing so against the very commandment of Jesus Christ, a commandment given over 2000 years ago for that matter.
