PO is only a gateway to our preferred future as a nation. Many do not realize what 2023 is about. It is a lifeline given to us to take back our country. There won't be this kind of awakening for the foreseeable future if the old order succeeds in perpetuating their stranglehold on Nigeria in 2023. If they do, you can be rest assured 'It's Finished, but this time JESUS will not weep'. Think about the lapses in judgment of the current political class and tell me something is not special about 2023. The Electoral Act 2022 was 'carelessly' done to wittle the powers of the elites and strengthen that of the masses. Make no mistake, they will correct that error in 2023 should they succeed in returning to power. Then we can kiss progressive revolution goodbye, at least through the ballots. That would mean no man of good conscience would ever have a shot at presidency (PO was a mistake to most elites). They wouldn't even dare, no matter how much the suffering masses urge them on. That means we can never have an Akinwumi, Otedelo, NOI, Moghalu or the likes as president. That means Nigeria can never have It's best brains rule it. Bookmark this post. So, while you're concerned about parochial interests and political correctness, think about your posterity. Nonetheless, ensure you document your role in the next election, so that when your children ask you questions about the state of our nation after 2023 (if you become courageous to have one in this country); you'd realize how many generations you condemned to suffering. #Vote Wisely. It's either the ballot or bullets (of suffering). |

There's no error in the Electoral Act 2022 like you think. I'm in a team that will draft election petitions or reply to election petitions for some people immediately INEC announces results next year. What we've witnessed in Nigeria over the years is the consistent development of democracy. Years ago Permanent voters card and register were introduced and it tackled the Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu's electoral fraud of manufacturing voters card and inflating the voters register to win elections. The next administration introduced card readers to ensure that only the votes of those present at a polling unit will count. The "I" in INEC stands for Independent. INEC is independent and makes periodic recommendations, suggestions, and applications to the National Assembly on how to improve our electoral system. The present improvement will stand and only be improved upon by the next administration. In future we will have mail in votes and even online votes when the bulk of electorates can access these means to exercise their suffrage. There's nothing special about 2023. There's nothing special about the current electoral act. What you should be bothered about is the provision of the constitution regarding Presidential Elections. 25% in 24 States + the F.C.T is not easy as it appears on paper. |
