Hello everyone. Just need the best idea for next step.

As the Landlord.

We wanted to notify tenants of increase in rent and the Barr handling the apartments says it's N5,000 per notice/apartment

Please, I wanted to know if that's what's practised everywhere in Nigeria?

If the Lawyer is the one managing the property, then he earns an agreed percent of the rent paid by tenants. In that case he is not entitled to anything for writing letter of increment.

If you are just contracting him for a letter, then you can negotiate the fee payable for the letters.

Boss, what angers me us that when the rent is increased he will also earn more percentage, yet, he's saying we need pay for notifications of rent increment cause of stamp.
