Good day! My Camon 18 has been working well with no issues and have been doing updates since I got it in April,22(bought on Jumia). Not until I got the upgrade notification and decided to do the Android 12 upgrade OTA and after doing that I could'nt use it again, as I was getting notification that it is locked! I made full payment for the phone and did not get it through EASY BUY or any of those ways. Gurus in the house, any insight into this? Please, stay away from the upgrade for now!

Well..Like you can see,I bought the phone from Jumia(new and fully paid) and opened the pack myself.I've contacted Carlcare and Jumia and working on how to resolve it. If anyone has such issues after upgrading to Android 12 or not can share.

What kind of wahala is this one, it's so disturbing that jumia is getting tagged in sh#ts like this.

You probably didn’t get it Frm the official store on Jumia, prob one of those private stores sold it to you.

Well i use Samsung but updated my phone to the lastest android 12...the only issue i have after update is that my phone restart itself.. Once in a while or t least twice in a day...

Tecno and infinix devices should stop this partnership with loan or credit providers, it's running their device, when their security have a bug it locks genuine customers phone who have no business with credit providers, this is the third case I've seen this past week.

I'll suggest that if you want to buy phones or gadgets, make sure to get them from recommended outlets. Issues like this can be resolved if you do.

Easy buy service allows a lot of people buy phones and pay later it's just that Nigerians as usual are trying to abuse the system by defrauding other unsuspecting Nigerians so this is not easy buys fault it's a case of an attempted scam

This is crazy but this is one major reason why I prefer buying phones from physical recommended stores than ordering online

Currently on that..I've seen the way EASYBUY and other loan apps show on the phone. It allows one make calls and use some apps.This one,no notification displaying who to reach out to.I can't even make calls with the phone.

Thanks for ur kind response. I paid fully for the phone. If I didn't, I won't come here to state the issue.
I finally found the solution. I turned off private dns and downloaded the missing security components and it installed. The phone is working now. Thanks everyone!

I've contacted Jumia on the issue. They need to be aware and address the issue and also prevent future occurrence. It might end up in a legal redress

Goto reset options and screenshot. I wan check something.

Visit carlcare and contact Jumia to report the Issue

It's a different thing actually, the issue is that op claimed to order the device on jumia. If that's true sub market under jumia sent him a sawapped device or ....

Well I well still advise the guy to visit CARLCARE for fast response
