The governorship candidate of the Labour party in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, on Monday said he is not depending solely on the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to win the governorship contest in 2023. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Gbadebo also said there is no accountability to the people of the state in how tax revenues are expended. The 39-year-old will face-off against incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate Olajide Adediran in next year’s elections. Asked if he will win the election without the Peter Obi factor in the State, Gbadebo answered; “I’m not relying on him (Peter Obi) solely, we are building structures, motivating people to get onboard, and also working with Peter Obi.
