Primary/secondary school management should address this issue of student's footwears and socks. White socks and sandals should be prohibited in primary/secondary school.

My niece who is in nursery class goes to school neatly dressed everyday, her socks is always as white as snow everyday but she returns home like someone who went to the farm.

Her white socks & sandals is always as if it was picked from the mud. Her uniform is always neat but her socks and sandals are always looking dirty.

She don't trek to school, their school bus normally carry her to and fro. I've complained to her teacher several times.

Since the month of May we entered raining season till date I've disposed over 11 socks and I can't even count how many socks I've bought for her since May till date.

In this 21st century who still wear white socks and sandals to school ? School management should please recommend black shoe and black socks for students.

Is not as if we have good roads in Nigeria, Our road in this country is very bad especially when it's raining season and most of us don't have washing machine, we make use of our hands to wash biko.

Today's own was out of this world, as from tomorrow she's wearing black shoe and black socks to school, let me come and see the teacher that will flog her becus she broke the school rules.

If parents are not complaining, i will complain o. I even wonder if the school management don't look at their pupils legs.

Atleast with black socks and black shoes it won't be so obvious that it's dirty and It's also easy to wash and clean. School management abeg.

You have a good point but for you to present this issue and get approval

You have to attend the school PTA meeting and table it down to the hearing of both parents and teachers who will make sense with you

Since when please? I finished from command boarding Kaduna,white socks and brown sandals are strictly demanded, during school hours, that is from morning till closing at 200pm. Then house wears and just brown sandals after school hours,till after prep at night.
Any other color apart from white socks and brown sandals will be seized and attracts punishment.

come to ipaja Lagos command boarding and see things for yourself or tell someone who comfirm it for you.

When I was in command (boarding) ipaja Lagos, green socks and brown sandals was strictly demanded. I wore green socks and sandals all through my years in command.

BUT Now, no more sandals again, they put on black shoe and green socks. Command ipaja Lagos.

If you can afford a private school, I'll recommend you enroll her there. Government schools are the ones that come up with all these unnecessary rules.

Private schools on the other hand are after their fees, they don't really care how you dress, as long as their money is complete their doors would always be opened to you.
