I was watching the African Magic documentary on Ilorin. I noticed some misinformations. The history has narrated by the speakers is distorted. Not the true background of Ilorin.

You are a Yoruba man going by your name. The question is, do you also believe that Ilorin & Ogbomosho originally belonged to the Ibariba? He also said one of the sons of the Oduduwa while going on revenge mission to Mecca. He was stopped along the way by Ibariba on the now Ilorin land . That’s how settled in Ilorin.

There are several versions to history. Even the oduduwa story no straight. I just feel someone as old as that man should say quality

Yes sir, My standpoint is that the speakers in that program should be Original Yoruba persons who are deep rooted and well informed about Ilorin vis-à-vis Yoruba history. It’s obvious that those speakers are not Yoruba. Speaking Yoruba language is not the same being Yoruba. A Yoruba man would never narrate such distorted story. African Magic didn’t do well with those they brought into the program as regards Ilorin. The Yoruba cities documentary has never been like this since the inception of this program.

Exactly my thought too. His expression alone gave him away.
