Northern States Christian Elders Forum (NOSCEF) has called on Nigerians, irrespective of ethno-religious differences to ensure that the same faith ticket for the 2023 general elections does not see the light.

The elders noted that if same faith is not rendered useless in 2023, it may end up standing the test of time in subsequent elections in the country to further divide the people.

In his welcome address on Saturday at the 2022 annual congress of the forum, the National chairman of NOSCEF, Ejoga Inalegwu said, “it is our responsibility as Christians in the North to kill Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election”

The theme of the congress was titled, “Politics Today: which way for Northern Christians?.

This was even as Inalegwu charged President Muhammadu Buhari to demonstrate national unity by appointing a Christian of Katsina origin state into national position.

‘We came into office when the attacks on Christians in the North and insecurity was at its peak and have witnessed further escalation of the deliberate attempt on the part of the Governments to increasingly marginalize Christians in public appointments, economic patronage, Political and social space.

“Unpatriotic politicians will use any formula they can apply to win election, whether it hurts or not and promise to placade as APC is doing after all the pleas. They will discard any formula that makes them loose election in the future.

“Make the single faith ticket unattractive for the future, by killing it now or render yourselves forever an irrelevant commodity in the election equation for the future.

“We enjoin all lovers of Nigeria across faith to reject the single faith ticket to frustrate politics
of exclusion that is mindful of regional balance but insensitive to faith inclusion.

“Insecurity in Kaduna has taken its toll on the attendance at the congress, we trust that at our
next congress, the insecurity would have been overcome”. Inalegwu said.

I think me and my friends can just gather and form Northern christian Adult-youth forum also and endorse competence, endorse Jagaban . but we wont, we will not play with the body of God, just like some people who had gone astray because of Politics and religious sentimentalism.

In a political season as this, there is nothing someone will not see. Different irrelevant, insignificant set of people will just gather themselves and start forming a religious body.

We only know of CAN and PFN only, and we also know they made their position very clear. Their position hasnt change just like 2015,and 2019 . But the difference is just this time, they have added hatred, envy, religious partioning and divisive to the fold.

The bright side is that, just like in 2015 and 2019. The Thinking, sane and Good christians, devoid of religious hate and sentimentalism knows that the body has been politicised and is nothing now but a political tool which only find its voice and become active during election period but not when the Christians are facing challenges.

Fantastic well wrote, Muslim Christian Ticket or nothing. We don't know or care if one person is a perfect or full Muslim or not, we must be well represented.
If the Muslims didn't start it we won't bother, but we have always been the victim of Muslim governments. They burn Church and they play delayed tactics all the time. Even the present Christian we have now is as useless as a left hand God forgive me. The man has never reacted in any way or for.
