if all you see is how money will flow this december, then something must be wrong with you. These people have stolen our future, and you're here thinking of how to flex December. Until there's a paradigm shift, this country will keep retrogressing.

Northerners are the most corrupt set of human beings to roam the earth. When it comes to public funds, they pillage it without mercy!

Now what baffles me is that they get to control their masses easily without any form of uprising.

Whilst it's known by all about their penchant for plundering public funds, why has the people not stood up to them (political class) judging by the level of poverty and lack of sound educational systems over there?

I personally think it's probably because of the religious indoctrination kind of

If actually this money belongs to one thief who stacked it somewhere, will the same thief snap and share it online. I’m just thinking .

As far as I’m concerned these monies are likely bank stored cash.

Many Nigerians lack critical thinking ability that they believe anything anywhere

The story was true but the characters aren't correct.

1) The late Military Administrator of Kano State= Lt Col Abdullahi Wase (who died in a helicopter crash). He was the son of the Emir of Wase in Plateau State.

2) In 1996, Abacha had gone to the Palace of the Emir of Wase to comiserate with him over the tragic and untimely death of his son while serving as the Military Administrator of Kano State.

3) As Abacha and his entourage were about going, the elderly Emir reminded Abacha about some Tanks in his Palace which his late son has been bringing to be kept at his Palace, claiming that they were special consignments which Abacha asked him to keep in a safe place on his behalf.

4) Abacha was a bit surprised, he ordered his soldiers to open the tanks and they discovered they were filled with #50 Naira notes (the highest currency denominations then.

5) Abacha just thanked the elderly bereaved Emir and ordered the money loaded into his plane and departed for Abuja.

The Late Abdullahi Wase couldn't even confide in his own father and he wanted to hoard the money and spend it alone.
And the Abacha relooted it..

Rubbish

All these crap about hoarded naira makes no sense as there is no financial incentive to horde the naira. You lose money holding the naira as we can see with its disastrous free fall.

All these stories of old naira notes are bullshit straight from that bullshiter himself Emefile.to justify his currency mopup under the guise of currency swap.

Do not be fooled by these planted stories.
these people don't care about the loss of value. They stole the money and as such have nothing to lose due to inflation

Most of the northerners that stole Nigeria’s money for years don’t believe in banks and they have stored monies that can last up to their 10th generation while rest of north live in poverty. I remember a military administrator that died in the 90s and Abacha came for condolence visit the illiterate wife told Abacha the late husband was having bullion vans bring in money weekly for Abacha she believed. Shocked Abacha ordered his security to search the whole houses and they discovered billions of naira (1996/97 period) stashed in GP tanks, soak away, underground etc Glad Abacha ordered the monies to be taken away and thanked the illiterate woman

But even Abacha smashed his looting record

Abacha relooted that money

Southerners Dey learn work for where northerners Dey loot. Those guys are heartless when it comes to stealing public funds. Imagine someone stealing billions as far back as 1993-1996 ( 3years) in office o

The funniest things is that him (wase) and ganduje were friends.

Anything that involves massive stealing of public funds in Nigeria, nah northerners Dey always lead the team.
The only reason why many northern politicians go into office is to loot

Exactly. Nigerians are easily fooled. No verification whatsoever. It's always a photo or video with no reliable source. There is no justification to redesign the naira. People talking about stolen funds stored for years are just dumb. Stolen money can be redistributed in many ways. People claiming it will curb kidnapping are just illiterates. You can go to the bank and change it for the new one without raising any suspicions. Banks are happy whenever there is inflow of cash. At what point do they report every deposit to CBN regardless of the year it was printed? Are they not still the legal tender even if it was printed 20 years ago? At times, I wonder why Nigerians don't focus on the problems we have. Naira is on free fall and things are really expensive now but some uninformed ones are jubilating, old currency notes are in circulation. Terrible!!!
