God’s Use Of Force—is It Justified? by gideonjeta(m): 11:37am On Nov 06, 2022
In view of man’s misuse of violent force, some may question God’s use of force to destroy his enemies. Some sincere individuals have wondered if God’s use of force is always justified.
History provides no evidence that God ever abused his power. He does not rule by arbitrary force. He wants us to worship him out of love as stated in 1 John 4:19. In fact, God does not use force if there is a just way to avoid it as stated in the following verses --Jeremiah 18:7, 8; 26:3, 13; Ezekiel 18:32; 33:1. And when he chooses to use force, he always gives plenty of warning so that whoever wants to can take corrective steps. For example, when God destroyed the wicked in the Flood, it was after many years of warning. Anyone could have availed himself of the provision of the ark and survived. Only eight did. Are these the actions of an arbitrary, cruel God?
God’s use of force has nothing in common with the unjustifiable abuse of power by humans. Deuteronomy 32:4 says "The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness who is never unjust; Righteous and upright is he."
When attempting to understand God’s use of force, we must begin with a basic truth about our position before God. The prophet Isaiah acknowledged at Isaiah 64:8 that“We are the clay, and you are our Potter,”. Obviously, as the Creator of the universe, God can use force in any way he wishes to.
It is Jehovah’s sense of justice and his love for people that will move him to rid the earth of those who abuse power and violently trample on the rights of others. This act of force will establish ideal conditions on the earth for all peace-loving humans who want it. (Psalms 37:10,11).

The Unquestionable God!
Where do you get this idea from? undecided

If men are able to, even today, question Him without known consequence except imagined ones, why do you continue to assert this idea that God is Unquestionable? undecided

The term God the source of the cosmos can not have an enemy because all thing emernates from him. Both good and evil what many ppl call God especially in the old testament are Elohims. Fighting for territory.

If your car, phone or mannequin does not do your will would it not be your enemy and qualified for destruction?

"The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works." - Psalm 145:17

"He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." - Deuteronomy 32:4

"But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just." - Romans 3:5-8
