Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by rikkyjen(m): 7:04am On Feb 28, 2006
Onanugaola ,for the fact you listed EfCC in that list made it infantile bullshit.!!!you need some kind of refresher courses about Nigeria, Cant you see what EFCC is doing,what made it illegal,was it not established by an act of parliament,afterall PTF was just the brainwork of the then PRC under Abacha,infact your list is full of absurdities,me gat no time to start punching the holes in your list.In as much as am not an Obasanjo apologist,i credit him for the little he has done.How can you call Adams political prisoner,do you know what that meansDont you know Adams,dokubo all committed treasonable offenses, Infact if continue to reply,i may loose my control and type some unpalatable words!!!!! angry angry angry angry angry
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by owo(m): 8:48am On Feb 28, 2006
Please lose your control and type the unpalatable words in defense of your master.

If Obj is not worse than Abacha, maybe no one will ever be.
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by Larufa(m): 9:43am On Feb 28, 2006
@rikkyjen, what is the diff between EFCC and the old Failed Bank Tribunal (Abacha day), the 2 are just agent of political persecution by the govt. of the day. If you support the govt. of the day, u are free but if not they a always right behind u. Nobody is a saint in Nigeria. We have one or the other to hide. If u are saying EFCC is not govt. agent why are members of 3rd term team ( Tony Annenih, Bode George, Ojo Maduekwe, Segun Agagu, Fayose, Chirs Uba) walking freely despite public knowlegde of their misdeed when in Govt. Secondly I don't know whether you know the meaning of treason, if yes then u a wrong to have agreed that Baba Faseun, Dokubo and Adams have committed the offence. Let me remind u that both Baba Faseun and Adams were charged with murder in d high court of Lagos but The federal govt. turn around after Lagos State Govt entered Non prosecutti in the case. Talking about PTF, u just go around all the teaching Hospitals u will find them are still using materials provided by Abacha Regime PTF. But now where is the speacial PTF fund going, well we have all heard--- 2003 - 419 (April 19) Election.

@owo , thanks let him lose control. We will continue to tell them the truth to their face.
God Bless u.
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by rikkyjen(m): 10:46pm On Feb 28, 2006
What are you two saying??How can you compare military tribunals to EFCC.In tribunals,the sittings are kangaroo like and they deliever judgements ,but EFCC prosecutes fraudsters and hand them to the judiciary,i hope you now understand the two better!!!.Truly Obasanjo has shortcomings the way you and i have but you cant just score the man zero,EFCC has jailed some obasanjo allies,as i said Obasanjo, has flair for Electoral malpractices but you cant just compare him to Abacha!!!

Mr men!!! the governors you mentioned are covered with section 188 immunity clause,they can't be nabbed till after their terms are over,Bode george ia a PDP man, yet  did you hear that EFCC has sent a danming report to the presidency about him,I don't know why you people shout that anti-third term people are wantedIs third term a justification for them looting the treasuries?

What do you know that is called treasonSome unsrupulous elements are canvassing for the division of Nigeria and you are saying its not treasonthen whats treason,pherhaps your only definition of treason is coup plotting abi(typical nigerians).Dokubo and his co-ethnic militias deserve to rot in gaol!!!!, Do you know the meaning of  a republic??how can you create a republic inside an existing republic,Dats what those ethnic-warlords are doing!!!!

You also said Lagos state govt had entered a nollo prosequi(not non-prosequi as you stated)with the suspects.so because of that  the Federal government  doesnt have the powers to take the gauntlet to prosecute them or what are you saying?.Brother man,i think you need to understand federalism before coming to post here!!!!To ease your understanding let me refer you to a text book which can change your mentality  comprehensive Government textbook by Anyaele for you ,that should teach you the rudiments of federalism and how powers are shared between the FG and state govts.Dont you ever think that Fasheun and tinubu are allies,and this could have caused the striking out of the case??Dont you think Egbon mi sentiments could have happened in that case

Nobody is contesting what PTF did,we are only contesting the fact of its legality.What am saying is this,PTF was an illegal body without Govt laws for backing and Created by the monsters in PRC,while EFCC was created by an act of parliament.EFCC cannot be scrapped just as Obasanjo scrapped PTF unless by a 2/3 majority of the national assembly

So my brother ,learn to deal with facts and figures .never allow prejudice to becloud your sense of judgement when  discussing politics
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by Larufa(m): 2:46pm On Mar 01, 2006
@rikkyjen, thanks for ur rather hash reponse.
But I want to tell u that this type of reasons can not help us in this country. Please do not be narrow minded or allow ur current priviledge postion to becloud ur reasoning. Be liberal for once in ur accessment of the current development in the country.
Please what is bad in identifying with the aspiration of your ethnic nation first before the nation. Nigeria today is make up of many ethnic nationalities, this u cannot deny. It is the people that makes a nation and not the other way round.
For EFCC issue, can u say it has being fair in the case of Bayelsa state GUV impleaching. Nobody is say what Alam did is right but the rule of law must be followed (it sound u a lawyer), as if that what not enough, came the drama of Oyo state GUV. Are u tell me that EFCC is above the law establishing it.I make bold to say that EFCC has become GOVT tool for Political Vendatta. Are u not in Nigeria when a good program had being use for selfish interest. What EFCC done to Annenih , OBJ Mr Fix it with over N300 Billion road construction Budget. Bode George is has never arrested for his role in NPA Fraud until today, why ? He supports OBJ 3rd term.

Infact I do not know why I have to reply u. Of all the points I itemised u just picked 2 and started to condem me. I beg what about others. Has the performance of NEPA improved, does he not have the 3rd term agenda, Is his son (Gbenga) not 1st class govt. contractor?. Is there no phantom coup scare? Is he not Mr. know-it-all?
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by rikkyjen(m): 4:49pm On Mar 01, 2006
Onanugaola, My bad ,if i sound rather harsh!!!.Why do you think where i am influences my sense of judgement??I didnt find that statement you made about where i am funny cos where i am does not have anything to do with our discussion, Anywayz if i sound too harsh,take my sincere PELE cry cry cry sad sad sad,
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by Larufa(m): 6:14pm On Mar 01, 2006
@rikkyjen;
if i sound too harsh, take my very sincere PELE tooo.
I now know u a Yoruba like I am.

But always I identify with Yoruba Nation b4 Nigeria based on objectivity, justice and rule of the law.

Remember It is our turn now, it will definitely be another group turn 2morow.
Justice must reign supreme for peace and development.
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by owo(m): 5:31pm On Mar 03, 2006
This government is the worst government that Nigeria has ever had.

This president is the responsible, directly for 25% (11/45) of all the problems, solutions, failures, victories, losses etc of this quasi-entity called Nigeria.

'Saint' Abacha would have done better under similar circumstances.
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by ababoy1(m): 8:56am On Mar 12, 2006
With Abacha, at least you knew you were dealing with a ruthless military dictator. With OBJ you have a gutless dictator masquerading as a democrat. There lies the difference.
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by Akolawole(m): 5:10pm On Mar 12, 2006
@Rikkyjen

Why are you worrying yourself about them?

@Onanugaola

1) What did Alhaji arisekola fix for Abacha?

2) Expantiate on Mustapha's phantom coup
3) Please also explain how those bodies became illegal?
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by Larufa(m): 6:30pm On Mar 13, 2006
@Akolawole,
1. Were you not in Nigeria during the abacha era? Everybody know the role Alhaji Arisekola played during that era.

2. Try and follow the court procedings of the alleged coup plot against El Mustapa.
Check out the role of the investigating panel and SSS in the phantom coup story.
what is the diff. between six and half a dozen.

Best wishes

I am in Nigeria even in Ibadan Sir!

onanugaola:

@Akolawole,
Stop asking foolish questions.

Ummh, Sorry Oga if the Question is "foolish".

onanugaola:

Everybody know the role Alhaji Arisekola played during that era.

Maybe i dont know.
All i know is that, i know him to be a Rich man and a philantropist of high repute.
I know he's not a ploitician but have helped Politicians.
I know his role with bags of money in Jos Convention in 1992/93.
His closeness with Abacha when the Dictator was in Agodi(beside post office) as head 2nd mechanised of Nigeria Army.
Similarly during that Adamasingba stadium tussle in 1997/98 on "Abacha must stay".
I know him "we" dealt with him at U.I in 1998.
I know his beautiful house called "Aso-rock", which i think is the best in the entire Yorubaland.

PLEASE TELL ME HIS ROLES SIR!
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by Larufa(m): 8:19pm On Mar 14, 2006
My Mr. Akolawole,

If trully u are in Ibadan and ex-student of UI.
How come u did not know some of Alhaji Arisekola bodyguards killed some people at the Hospital (LifeCare Hospital, Ring Road) beside his Newspaper outfit --Monitor during the anti-Abacha rally in Ibadan.
U seem to know only the good things he has being doing. But the true of the matter is that he goes to Abuja, collect billions of Naira and come back home to give some people thousands. How do u match that.

I am a muslim by birth and by choice but all what is doing in name of Islam is a facade.
Your inner being is more precious to God than your public show.
Only God jugde u by ur intentions, we human judge by ur actions.

A man whose ascension to the throne is always cracked by benevolent spirits. grin

The only King Solomon in Nigeria. shocked
Is Nigeria Bar Association wrong in their assertion of the man's abuse of power too?

You've done noble by listing all that made Gen Obj and Abacha the same terriorist in government people can now see that "Baba" Obj is trying to be another Abacha in power!!!!!! They are bird of the same feather. cheers

I am not in anyway related to the man. Ibadan/Ekiti is far from Abeokuta.
70% of his policies are good and i want it continued.
I dont want the 3rd term at all and i have voiced my opinion on this.
Re: General Abacha Vs General Obj by Larufa(m): 2:35pm On Mar 15, 2006
@Akolawole,

Check this website out for 3rd term reasons:
http://www.naijarita.com/2006/third-term-reasons

Do u know that a Yoruba man or woman will not have the opportunity to vie for the presidency of this great country for next 60years if the OBJ 3rd agenda works out (GOD forbid), remember rotational clause is included too (I AM TOTALLY AGAINST THIS CLAUSE). Now u cannot vie for the presidency and must u deny ur children the opportunity in the nearest future.
Do not be myopia about the whole issue, think of 2morow when the man there is not OBJ or a Yoruba man. Nigeria will continue to exist after OBJ. He has done his best, let others come and do theirs. All his reform program is not the end of our problem, it just a step in that direction.

@Ono

It is an open secret, i like OBJ's policies BUT I HATE 3RD TERM PLOT and i pray it never SUCCEED but that will never blindfold me to say his government is the worst.

I stand by my opinion anyday.

How i wish i saw OBJ personally, i would have ask him two questions among which is: Why did you want 3rd time now at that your ripe age, something you did not want at 42 years old in 1979?
