Doyle, Etim, Wasiu installed as Upata Chiefs

Chieftaincy titles are special honours given to personalities who has distinguished themselves in service in their various endeavours.

To the people of Upata Kingdom in Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality, such honours are rare privileges to come by hence if found worthy of such honours, it is indeed worth celebrating as the people sees you as their own. The initiation into the Upata Kingdom Traditional Council gives you the full rights and privileges to partake on every activities and benefits of an Upata titled Chief.

In lieu of the above, the Upata central palace witnessed yet another round of significant celebration as they honoured few friends of the Kingdom who have distinguished themselves in services especially to the people of Upata Kingdom.

The titles are confered on them as a mark of honour and appreciation of their various kind gestures to the people of Upata Kingdom.

Foremost amongst the beneficiaries is the managing director of Global Spectrum Energy Services Plc Mr. Colm Doyle and his wife Chief (Mrs) MaryJane Nzeh Doyle who were installed as Igiligi Upata (Morning Dew of Upata Kingdom) and Ununwe Menyi Egbor (A loyal and submissive wife) respectively.

Others includes Mr. Patrick Etim Effiong Esq, Managing Partner, Rayfield Associates as Unwo Gbaite Umenala ( A son that straightens tradition) and Chief Akindele Wasiu, acting managing director, Global Spectrum Energy Services Plc as Uwno Mekwete Iye 1 of Upata Kingdom ( A very coordinated son of Upata Kingdom).

The ceremony which took place at the central palace of the Igbu Upata people witness a large turn out of respected dignitaries notable amongst them is the former Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Chibudom Nwuche OFR, DSSRS, Esama Ekpeye Logbo who is a respected titled Chief in Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality, a business mogul, politician and a very successful lawyer.

Nwuche who witnessed the installation by the paramount ruler of the Upata people His Majesty Nye Udu Felix Enene Otuwarikpo Ph.D spoke briefly at the event. The former federal lawmaker was elated are the progress Upata Kingdom through her king is making hence eulogized the leadership qualities of the king of Upata Kingdom.

Nwuche who expressed satisfaction on the leadership of Nye Udu Felix Enene Otuwarikpo who took over the mantle from his late father His Royal Highness Eze Clifford Cheta Nwuche encouraged the king to continue his good works.
