HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR FINANCIAL GOALS FOR DECEMBER AS A NIGERIAN

Detty December is just around the corner and with the economical decline, it may seem like only a far-fetched dream. You may probably be wondering how seemingly impossible this would be — especially with the increase in goods, and the increase in the dollar exchange rate among others.

The current economic recession is not enough to make you give up on your dreams. You may think it is easier said than done. However, if you follow the advice you’re about to read below, you’d realize that it is indeed quite easy.

Whatever your financial goals for December, there are just 2 ways to go about it;

1. Save Towards Detty December

Saving is always a good idea for both short-term and long-term goals. This works especially well if you earn a large income and can afford to put away chunks of cash. While it is true that this advice would have been more conducive if given months earlier, it is not too late to begin.

Unfortunately, this might not be viable if your income is low and only sufficient for you to cover your bills, with very little (if any at all) left to cater to other things.

If saving is not a possibility for you right now, does that mean you are totally left out of enjoying an amazing December? Absolutely not! This leads me to…

You can save to hit your financial goal.

2. Increase Your Income

I doubt this advice is novel to you. I can almost hear you saying “yes, I know I should increase my income. But how do I go about it? There are no jobs around.” These concerns are valid, but to this, I say “who says you necessarily have to get an extra job?”

The truth is, having another stream(s) of income is what will help you not only achieve your financial goals for December but also enable you to thrive in a harsh economy.

If this seems like a path you want to tread, here are a few ideas:

Get another job: This could be remote, part-time or based on shifts. Handling a job comes with its own shortcomings. But if you believe you can comfortably handle two, then go for it. After all, the goal is extra income. You can search sites like Amazing Careers on Instagram or Jobsora. There are different sites you could check anyway.

Freelancing: This is another sure way of increasing your income. If you have a skill, you could offer your services for a fee. The hassle with this lies in getting clients. It’s fierce competition on freelancing sites and you will have to know your way around to beat the competition. It’s possible but fierce. However, you can check out sites like Upwork, Fiverr, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. if you know your way around, that would be just great.

You could pay for courses or training to learn proven strategies and frameworks. A good example would be a challenge that pushes you to take action. A perfectly great example is the “ 5k a day or more challenge.” You’d learn a WHOLE lot and would be challenged to take action.

All questions you have as regards this challenge have been answered already. Just hit the link.
