The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar welcomes reports that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his group are favourably disposed to the resolution of the issues with the PDP candidate.

Atiku Abubakar also expresses his commitment to a negotiation that will resolve the crisis of confidence and pave the way for a much stronger and united PDP.

The former Vice President of Nigeria, notes that never at any time of the differences that has ensued has the doors been shut to Governor Wike and his group.

He enjoins every leader of the party and their supporters irrespective of their leanings to be open-minded and support the process of resolution of the extant issues.

The truth is that Wike has deleted Atiku Abubakar number from his phone, if Atiku calls again now, Wike will be like "Who is this abeg" ?

Wike selfish and self centred behavior will hurt him the most.

As from 2023, he might be in the political wilderness especially if Atiku wins. He could negotiate for a position within the incoming government.

On the other hand again, if by a stroke of fortune he rightly supports the winners of the forth coming elections, this will revive his political-career is if the winner isn't Peter Obi whose popularity stems from his anti-establishment ideals.

What Wike and his bodyguards fail to realize is that,as long as you keep fighting Atiku,it will be viewed as fight between South and North. You are invariably selling Atiku candidature in the North. Vote Atiku/Okowa for president!

And damaging his chances of ever contesting for national office in the future. I think he is playing a zero sum game. That if he does not get what he wants here and now he quits the scene altogether. Wike is basically unelectable.
