This is Good...

Obi Talked able about using Sambisa wholly for agricultural purposes, and some people insulted him..
He's seeing what others are not and cannot see!!!!

Vote wisely!!!

Fantastic!

Kudos to the OP!

This are the kind of intellectuals that have capitalized on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s statement.

With the USA being the largest producer of maize, we just need a thousand technocrats like the OP, and we will overtake the US

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is so proud of you OP

Lol grin Are you being sarcastic?

Why should I?
People have stopped complaining and started working!

Imagine we had 1000 youths doing same thing he is doing and another thousand doing same for Cassava

Trust me Bro, if we all don’t get to work and contribute OUR OWN quota, Nigeria won’t move.

Farming is one of the most lucrative business if you can have access to farmland land and also capital to run the farm.
So in this thread, I will document my progress, also the challenges i have faced as a zealous and an amateur farmer.
HOW IT BEGINS
I leave Abia in late june 2022 for Borno state.

Just be prepared because the terrorist Fulani herdsmen would send in their cattle when the crops are grown to decimate them.

Asiwaju knows we are lagging behind economically, and he is not denying it. With people like you, we are guaranteed of a better tomorrow.
Keep quiet. Don’t mess up this educative thread with your dirty politics. Asiwaju agbado speech was mock not because of agbado itself but using to feed young soldiers who also have their own life ambition.
Remember the op is probably Igbo not you fools that hardly leave your enclave but have opinion about people’s villages and towns. My brother is doing the same in Benue planting and processing rice, if not for Fulani incessant disturbance he would have gone far because there are markets in the east for his produce

OP, good job.
Please research or google the cancer causing effects of the weedkiller and pesticide you are using.
I have a family of father, 2 daughters and grand son farmer patients with different types of cancer from using paraquate. While the father and grand son have leukemia, the daughters have oral cancer where the tongues can't stop growing. The tongue of the oldest daughter has now grown just above her breasts, she can't breathe without a tracheostomy, and can't eat except through a G-tube on her stomach.
Best of luck.

Ignore yourself self serving hypocrites. The op is probably Igbo and doing what Igbos do best — hardwork. Not standing in every bustop reaping where you didn’t sow

I totally disagree with u, farming is not lucrative, a maize farm does not yeild more than 20% profit after all expenses. Except technology is brought into it, but the normal way it's done in Nigeria it's not worth the effort

This trend absolutely encouraged me, I love farming, I mean commercial farming, planning to start mine early next year, even though cost of land is really expensive here, but with God by myside and determination, I believe it'll be possible. Needed to start somewhere

Your one of the few youths adding value to the economy...
Others are either hoping to win 200million from Bet9ja one day!

Others have bought some speculative assets called crypto hoping to become a billionaire in 2024 without doing anything ...

Let's work together and make this country great

Japa is not for everybody

Nothing wrong with crypto but you see that your last sentence

I don't understand this thread of yours.
You left Abia State June 2022,by November you had already started spraying pesticide on a farmland in Borno State.
You didn't tell us how you got the farmland because it seems you are either not an indigene of Borno or not based there.
Stories like this must follow a logical sequence if you want others to learn, follow in your footsteps or avoid mistakes you made.It also helps anyone trying to follow that path to know the kind of budget to have in mind.
How land was acquired, then preparation of land, how maize seeds were sourced, etc.
