Why are there too few of this car in Nigeria despite its stylish look and robust engine? It's not even expensive as similarly-classed BMWs and Audis. I thought this car should be popular in Nigeria but I only run into it a few times after all these years. What's the deal?

Simple

Nigerian mechanics can't handle it so part sellers decided not to import the parts.

By extension, the car dealers and importers looked away.

Its not easy to steal. Easy to steal cars like Corolla, XTerra, etc are usually popular in Nigeria.

But the car actually enjoys a great reliability rating. Unfortunately, every car will need a date with the mechanic and most Nigerian buyers won't buy new. They buy old, by which time the car has racked up thousands of miles and will surely need multiple dates with the mechanic to keep going.

LOL. If they steal G-wagon and ship them to Nigeria, why can't they steal the Chrysler 300? LOL. I think it's like the guy above already said, our local mechanics are probably clueless about the car.

i guess there are very few mechanics that can perfectly handle its components just like same issue with some hybrid engine vehicles.
