Hi guys, so I'm a writer (or at least I like to call my self one). But if I'm to be honest, I have not yet made anything tangible from writing. I'm still hunting for gigs here and there. Still hoping to land my first client

Around 3 months ago after I broke up with my gf, I moved out of the apartment which we shared and rented another one for myself. I used all the cash I had, and believe me when I say I was left with no dime to even paint the house or get some basic necessities.

I knew it was gonna be a tough journey, but in case you haven't noticed, I like to think of myself as tougher guy.

My landlord lives beside me, he has no job. Only depends on the rental income from the property he inherited from his late mother. His baby mama and younger brothers have a penchant for always making him broke. (he is their money machine)

I noticed the guy rarely complains about how hard the economy is, so I decided to study him very close so as to adopt a few of his survival ideas.

My landlord hunts for snail, he hardly buys meat of fish. He also has a trap which fetches him Bush meat at intervals. The man dey chop protein on a steady. He also breeds a few local chickens, some broilers, and some layers. Altogether about 9 birds.

He has a garden that provides various leaves and vegetables.
He only spends money on rice beans, garri, etc.

To cut the long story short, since I moved in here, na only snail and Bush meat I dey chop. I never taste beef or fish.

Na my survival tips be that o. I see one thread wey person buy 1 fish for over 1k, Mehn I ain't got such cash o.

If u get small Bush close to u, just buy a trap and start harvesting free meat.

But if u can afford the lifestyle, please pay no heed to my ramblings.

Also if u get any tip wey fit help me, abeg share.

Correct guy this is the most truthful post I've come across in this forum. But the problem is that many people live in those areas where it is hard to find a single grass not to talk of a bush to set a trap in. In such cases, vacant plots for farming are also as rare as a fowl's urine.

Any other benefits apart from pepper?
I'll give this a try someday
If I'll have to pay Hospital bills afterwards, I'm coming to collect it from you

Lol, we all have to be creative and spend wisely. Personally, I cut down on hanging out with the boys. Why buy a bottle of beer for 1k or more, when I can get it for half the price in a discount store and drink in my sitting room.

I have reduced all the barbecue fish, asun etc. Buy them from the market, grill at home and enjoy quietly. Apart from reducing cost, it reduces having liability and entitled people around me.

Everyone must cut costs except you get your money illegally.

You've got quite good persuading skills...
Don't make it waste..
The crudeness of it buys the listener..
You should capitalise on it
