Nairalanders what are the benefits joining a political party at the ward level?

I visited PDP office in my ward twice,they were not around,this week I will give it a try again.

I want to work for my brother Okowa,even if he did not win the election,but I know I worked for him,I live here in Benin city,me and Okowa are from Owa kingdom......

Although I'm not rich,I have no money to contribute to the party.

As an Ika man who was born and brought up in Edo ,spent five years in Enugu,I believe I will be very useful for Okowa and obaseki to seek vote of Ika people in Edo state(igbanke,Owa,ekpon) and small villages like oghada,otabaye etc.

Nairalanders,how will PDP members accept me since I don't have much to contribute financially?
