Suspected gunmen have killed no fewer than six persons in Awka, Anambra State capital.
The incident took place early hours of Saturday along the popular Zik’s avenue and its environs.
But Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, said the incident was a clash of rival cult groups
He said the command had deployed troops to douse tension in the capital city.
Sources,who spoke with The Nation, Saturday, said the clash followed the high rate of levies imposed tricycle operators by the Anambra State Government
