SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH REASSURES CONSTITUENTS OF HIS COMMITMENT TOWARDS PROMOTION OF SECURITY AND BUSINESSES, KICKS OFF INAUGURATION OF COMMITTEES FOR INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SOLAR POWERED LIGHTS IN VARIOUS WARDS

In line with his legislative agenda of promoting security and businesses at grassroot level, the Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Thursday, began implementation of his legislative plans to support the state in providing security for the citizenry. Senator Ubah kicked off the implementation with inauguration of ten-man committee that will supervise installation of the Solar Powered Lights in various Wards of the Senatorial District.

Speaking during the ceremony which commenced at Ukpor Town Hall, Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Senator Ubah appreciated ndị Anambra South for their undiluted supports and for standing with him especially at this critical time that two of his Aides and some security personnel were sent to early graves by gunmen. The Anambra South Senator who was accompanied by some of his supporters and stakeholders reaffirmed that he will never be distracted in giving quality representation to his constituents. He further said that the solar powered lights are aimed at supporting the state in the security of lives and properties, and supporting businesses that operate mostly at night at the grassroot.

Senator Ubah and his entourage later visited Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area and Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area to inaugurate the committees that will be in charge of the project implementation in various Wards of the two Local Government Areas. Speaking briefly in the areas, the Anambra South Senator further appreciated his constituents for their massive supports and maintained that the committees will ensure that the facilities are installed adequately in critical locations and also properly secured and maintained. He also urged citizens to remain law abiding and reassured them that his office will leave no stone unturned in attracting quality policies and programmes that will promote people’s wellbeing and support the institution of the state in taking proper care of various sectors of the economy.

The day’s event was rounded off at Senator Ubah’s residence in Ụmụanụka Otolo Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State with the inauguration of committee that will be in charge of the project implementation in the ten Wards of the Local Government. Addressing the gathering, Senator Ubah appreciated ndị Nnewi for their overwhelming support. He also reassured them that he will always use instrumentality of his office to attract programmes that will promote their wellbeing and urged them to remain law abiding. The 2023 Anambra South Senatorial YPP Candidate further maintained that the Solar Powered lights are meant to support the efforts of the state in providing security for the citizenry and promote grassroot businesses.

Also present at the various events were YPP Candidates for various elective positions at state and federal levels in Anambra State and community leaders. The event is expected to continue in other local government areas of Anambra South Senatorial District on a later date.
