Please, between Hostel and Off Campus which is better for a new student in the University?
Security wise
Water
Electricity Wise
Privacy Wise
Clean Toilet
So as not to pick what will affect someone academically please

In campus,i t shaa depends on the school

For security reasons, What i did during my time was to live in the hostle in my first year,use the period of my stay there to know the school environs,bad groups in the campus.The hostel i lived in was meant only for year one students,so i didn't come across bad niggars through the hostle.
2. For the rest off campus is the best..

Security and electricity.
Very important for students. As for water. Make sure you have a place nearby to get it if your apartment doest have running water or borehole
